NYC Pride and Sunshine 2005: DJ Ang, Donna Summer, and Jules
After the Manhattan "Consumerism" Pride Parade, us down queer folkx (Ms. Marian, Angela Can't Handle Hah, DJ Ang, Jules, Donna Summer,and myself Dr. Dre) headed to Dragonfly for what we THOUGHT was just going to be some grubbing and chattin. What we didn't know was that we'd be seated right next to the DJ booth and get to eat, dance n fag out to Janet, J.lo, and Keils... yes honey and on top of that we had cute seats by the window: we were letting 7th av have it, honey, yes!

That was a fun evening minus the supper "club" music we had pounding over head. what i recall was a few of us (maybe just me) shamelessly tore some napkin for makeshift earplugs after the waiter said straight up "no, we can't turn the music down, we just can't!"
I appreciated the quiet resistance when Angela and Andre went to a nearby bodega for some bottled water which dragonfly was selling for 2 bucks a pop! (no tap water was available!)
